About Us

Koomal is the traditional name of Wardandi man Josh Whiteland. Passionate, learned and spiritually aware, Josh has a personal commitment to sharing his deep knowledge of his culture and lore with visitors. He created Koomal Dreaming so he could communicate at least part of his profound connection with his land and his people with guests from around Australia and the world.

Josh is a talented musician and dancer, and he has been working in tourism and education for the last seven years. His greatest ambition is to increase understanding of Aboriginal people and culture, and to provide more opportunities for local Noongar people.
